Brief note about the history of Comic Market and the trend
Needless to say, it is the pioneer first held in 1975 and the biggest doujinshi event that constantly attracts more than 150,000 people per day.
In the early years of its history, every doujinshi was the anthology made by a manga club at university. The word “doujin” means “fan group” or “club” in the first place and “shi” is for “magazine” or “book.”
In the early 1980s, female artists began to self-publish male/male manga doujinshi whose characters are borrowed from the manga or anime they love. Just around the same time, it got an underground trend for male artists who love manga and anime to draw cute young girls in their doujinshi.
Nowadays, existing manga/anime based doujinshi seem to surpass the original doujinshi.
No one would deny that Shonen-Jump-based doujinsh is the most attractive category in the Comic Market. It is the barometer of the manga trend among fanatic fans. The area for Shonen Jump category itself is divided by manga tiles.
Nuru Wota ga Kiru blog focused on how many fan circles (actually they are not a circle but an individual artist) will attend for each manga title in Shonen Jump.

Lamented Manga Artists
As her manga works are not only intelligent but also full of human nature, I really loved them.
I often run into this kind of sad news recently. I list the mangaka whose death was reported this year.
杉浦日向子 Sugiura, Hinako/ Date: July 22 / Age: 46
永島慎二 Nagashima, Shinji/ Date: June 10 / Age: 67
岡田史子 Okada, Fumiko/ Date: April 3 / Age: 55
中尊寺ゆつこ Chuusonji, Yutsuko/ Date: January 31 / Age:42
All of them have a commonality that they were very intelligent and some of their works are told to be comparable to literature.
Especially, Okada had a deep insight in philosophy and religion. I first knew the word "ataraxia" from her manga tankoubon. But her manga was so profound even for manga fans in the 70th that it couldn’t become popular. In spite of Tezuka’s help with a job as an animator in Mushi Production and friendship with Hagio Moto, she decided to quit writing.
After leaving Tokyo, she devoted herself to Christianity in the early 70th.
If you are interested in the other aspect of manga, why don't you try them.

Detective Conan Exhibition
Many kinds of Conan-related stuff such as drawings by the author himself, anime cels, or the drawings and compositions by Aoyama Goushou when he was in elementary school are on display till August 21st.
Daiei-chou is Aoyama’s hometown and he went to elementary school there. In his composition for the graduation writings, he wrote, “ Though I wanted to become a mangaka last time, now I want to become a detective. But I don't think I can because I'm not quick in my movements. So I combined my dream with the previous one; I want to become the mangaka specialized in detective manga.”
I was very impressed to read it. He fulfilled his dream!
Daiei-chou Chamber of Commers refers to itself as The Town You Can Meet Conan. In its web site, you can see the sight of the town which has the statues of Conan and Kudou Shinichi.

New design
After painting the new character with orange hair above, I found Saint Seiya and Yu-Gi-Oh! had a great influence on my art style.
In fact the only doujinshi I published were about Saint Seiya and Yu-Gi-Oh!
I hope you like the new design.

Yaoi girls, never miss Otome Road!
When the manga information magazine, Puff, introduced the area, it was called Otome Road and afterward came to go by so in the manga fandom.
Otome is Japanese for "maiden."
If you are lucky, you might come across a BL manga artist’s autograph session in one of the shops.
Access: 10-minute walk from the East exit of JR Ikebukuro Station. Otome Road faces the famous shopping building, Sunshine City.
Is that a lawsuit or an advertisement?
He and the distributor, Media Suits, have come to the conclusion that the movie will be released on the condition that it primarily shows the disclaimer “This movie has nothing to do with any existing person or party.”
Sansupo.com continues it doesn’t mean Cromartie allowed the manga and he is planning the other lawsuit against the distributor and the publisher.
But some of the manga fans suspect that it's a kind of setup advertisement for the movie because Cromartie is known for his good sense of humor and this case seems totally out of his character, though I have no idea what the truth is. I only can say if I were him, I'd ask the manga artist to draw me as the principal in his manga.
You can read the detail of the case in my previous article.
