As some people asked me by mail if I knew the list of the anime now continuing on TV, I introduce Newtype site to you all.
It has the lists on the regular-broadcast basis and the satellite basis. Both of them are in Japanese alphabetical order and in Japanese. I’m sorry I don’t know the list written in English. If some of you know one, please let me know.

Batman Doujinshi

Though a fair bit behind, I’ll answer the question posted through the comment on this blog.
Libby asked me about the genre in Comiket I referred.

Question:
When it says "American comics", does that mean doujinshi about American comics, or just imported comics? Because if someone's selling Nightwing/Robin yaoi, I may have to learn Japanese and buy myself a ticket to next year's event.

Answer:
I can assure you that the books sold at Comiket are doujinshi regardless of the genre because the Comiket Committee prohibits circles (sellers) from selling any book that has ISBN on the cover.
Because the doujinshi market has become such a big event for us to count on the publishers to ignore our doujinshi in which their manga characters play a naughty role, we must show them that we are not self-publishing doujinshi for the purupose of gaining profits but to share our love for the original manga with other fans.

Otaku Discount

According to Yahoo News Japan, a theater located in Fujisawa-shi, Kanagawa prefecture has set an otaku discount for the movie, Densha Otoko. To accept a discount, you have only to refer to yourself as an otaku at the ticket office of the theater, Fujisawa Chuoh, and you will save 400yen.
The discount is highly regarded by all movie-lovers. Some of the people who are enjoying the discount don't look like an otaku, but the general manager, Nitta, doesn’t mind. He says "As the movie is about a shy otaku who builds up his courage, we wanted real otakus to make a personal statement though we were half-joking at first.”
Thanks to the good reputation, the theater decided to extend the show.

Wonder Festival, the biggest garage kit sales event in Japan

Wonder Festival, the largest figure-sales event in Japan in which nearly 1,400 dealers take part, took place on August 21st. It is significant in that all fan-made garage kits in there are given a one-day license by the copyright holders through the intermediation of Wonder Festival Executive Committee. You can participate in it as a dealer and sell your works without any anxiety of violating the copyright law. So, you can find a lot of figures based on manga, anime, and games there besides many original works.
